Always 360° rotation!
All new Keto Harvesters come equipped with a Keto 360° continuous rotator. As a result, the harvester head rotates freely around the tilt in either a clockwise or counter clockwise direction, no ifs, ands, or buts. Keto has patented certain design features of the rotator, like it has done in the past with features unique to the Keto brand, setting it apart from the competition.
Complete rotation results from all cables and hoses passing through the rotator. This includes electrical cables, hydraulic oil, stump treatment liquid, and urea. The special design ensures that oil and chemicals will never mix with each other. The benefits of this set-up involve savings in cost and time. Some of the advantages include:
- Shorter, simpler hose settings.
- Hoses do not wrap around the tilt.
- Very high load carrying capacity.
- No more pulled cables or wires.
- No excess, dangling hose lengths to cut or damage with the saw.
- Less hose movement and snagging resulting in less wear and tear on hoses and fittings.
- Simple design that is easy to remove for servicing.

The 360° rotator expedites felling operations in many ways. Continuous rotation means operators can approach trees from any angle. Additionally, there are no hose bundles interfering with surrounding trees. All this makes operation faster and more productive.
The 360° rotator functions on an external motor via a pinion and gear system. Thus, the rotator itself has few internal wearing parts, meaning less service needed. The external motor drive provides high and constant torque levels throughout its lifetime. The standard setup provides approximately 1550 lbft (2100Nm) at a pressure of 2900 psi (200 bar). Higher torque levels may be available on request.

The installation bolting pattern follows the industry standards. Additionally, most non-360° rotators can be replaced by the Keto 360° continuous rotator, including those on other head brands. There are several models to choose from, depending on the harvester head size.
