Language Selection (Technion Tutorial)

Language Selection (Technion Tutorial)

The Technion xLogger computer system allows operators to work in 16 different languages. In this tutorial, we go over language selection. In order to change the system language, you need to be a level four, owner, or service level operator. In addition, be aware that changing the system language changes it for all subsequent users of the system. If other operators have lower system clearance than level four, they will be unable to change the language back. Without further ado, you can watch the tutorial using the video below or read on for more information.

01. Open the Main Menu

Boot up the xLogger system and log in to reach the main screen. Select the three stacked horizontal lines in the bottom right corner of your screen. Hitting “OK” on your navigator or tapping that area of the screen* opens the main menu.

02. Select Settings

On the main menu, use the navigator to highlight the settings option, then hit the “OK” button. Alternatively, tap on the appropriate area of your screen*.

03. Open the Usage Settings tab

Use the navigator to highlight Usage Settings on the top row of tabs, or tap the appropriate area on your screen*. Hitting “OK” on the navigator is not necessary in this case, the display windows change automatically as you highlight different tabs.

04. Highlight the Generic tab

The Generic tab should be automatically highlighted when you navigate to the Usage Settings tab. If not, use your navigator to highlight the Generic tab or press the appropriate area on your screen*. Hitting “OK” on the navigator is not required as the display window changes automatically as you highlight the tabs.

05. Select your language

Using the navigator, highlight the language block and hit “OK” to open a drop down menu. Alternatively, tap on the appropriate area of your screen*. Navigate to the desired language and hit “OK” or tap on the screen*. You have now changed the language of operation for all users.

*tapping the screen is only possible with an upgraded 12″ monitor. The standard 8.4″ screen does not have this functionality.
