Renaming Your Profile (Technion Tutorial)

Renaming your profile (Technion Tutorial)

Welcome to another Technion xLogger Tutorial for your Keto Harvester. In the last instalment, we went over the basic modules that make up your xLogger system. Continuing with the basics, today we will go over renaming your profile. This is a handy, simple process that is useful when there are multiple operators using the same harvester. A uniquely named profile allows you to quickly access your personalized controls and settings for the Keto Harvester you are operating. It also logs your personal working hours separately from the overall hours for the machine. Let’s get started. You can watch this tutorial as a video below, or read on for a step-by-step procedure.

Note: you need to be a level 3 operator or higher on the xLogger system in order to complete this tutorial and rename profiles. Otherwise, your administrator will need to rename the profile for you.

01. Select a profile to rename

If this is the first time you are using the xLogger computer, you will likely see a “default operator” profile in the first menu that comes up after turning on the system. Select this profile by using your navigator or by tapping the screen*. Pressing the up or down arrows on the navigator allow you to highlight the appropriate profile name, while the “OK” button in the centre of the navigator allows you to make a selection.

02. Open head or skip

After selecting your profile, a message pops up on the screen reading “Keep opening head and press OK”. This message only shows up after the initial start-up of the computer. If you are unfamiliar with how to do this, use the navigator to select the “skip” option, or tap the appropriate area on your screen*.

03. Open the main menu

Once the main xLogger screen loads, open the main menu by selecting the three horizontal line in the bottom right corner of your screen using either the navigator or pressing on your screen*.

04. Select “Operator”

The main menu will look different depending on the level of access you have been granted. You might only have three options, or you might have several more. If you have not been assigned a user level of three or high, you will not see the operator option. If you see the “Operator” option, select it using the navigator or by touching the screen directly*.

05. Select “Information”

On the operator screen, the exit icon (X) in the top right corner is automatically highlighted. Use the navigator to select “information” in the second row of tabs, or touch the appropriate area of the screen*. The tabs open automatically when highlighted, you do not need to press “Ok” in this instance.

06. Select “Operator Name”

Use the navigator to highlight the “Operator Name” field. Hit “Ok” or touch the appropriate area on the screen*.

07. Enter a new profile name

With the navigator (or by touching your screen directly*), use the virtual keyboard that appears to enter the desired profile name. Once complete, highlight the enter button on the virtual keyboard with the navigator and hit “Ok”, or touch the appropriate area on the screen*. This saves your name change to the profile.

*tapping the screen is only possible with an upgraded 12″ monitor. The standard 8.4″ screen does not have this functionality.
